Kingfisher Court provides a healing and therapeutic environment to support people on their recovery journey from mental illness. Harling were asked to provide fencing and gates that contributed to the design and facilitated the staff safety and clients welfare in every location on the site.
With multiple entrance and exit routes for cars, vans and pedestrians, the entire facility needed careful thought and ingenuity to cover each aspect in a comprehensive way.
We supplied and installed 4m high automated gates and fencing, with Thermowood cladding to match the attractive, natural building finish and to offer a backdrop that blends with the rural surroundings.
There is a peaceful feeling at Kingfisher court, despite what is actually a very high fence for superior security and safety. The fencing was installed with all gates being flush with the fence, so that it provided an anti-climb solution.
Due to the weight and wind loading of the fencing and gates, the fence posts were galvanised heavy duty steel I beams, bolted down to large concrete foundation pads. As well as numerous manual gates, the fencing incorporated three large automatic gates which were connected back to the buildings access control system.
High anti-climb mesh around specific outdoor areas in a leaf green colour, gives the space for patients to relax in the fresh air and enjoy the views and yet still offer absolute surety of protection.
The project was completed on time and within budget which was a credit to our project management team.
