Complete building and landscaping refurbishment project
We were asked to install a complete package which was a building and landscaping refurbishment project, but also included a lot of security upgrade works.
We submitted a formal tender for the works, and we had to work to a very tight deadline, to meet the client’s financial year end. The project had to be completed in 10 weeks and there were multiple different trades involved, including specialist’s trades and we were to act as the main contractors under CDM regulations.
We set up a site compound, for our site team and tradesmen along with all welfare facilities. We met all the criteria required including holding Constructionline gold, SSSTS and SMSTS for our work force.
We put together and carefully planned the programme. We also value engineered some of the pathways, achieving a better result and saving the client £120,000.
The project included, installing decorative brick walls, with railings and gates in, complete with foundations and bridging services that were in the way. We installed over 450 linier meters of resin pathways through out the centre, complete with patio areas and a new tarmac entrance roadway.
We installed automatic gates, automatic barriers and fencing to secure the site. We also installed rabbit proof fencing, with the bottom 600mm buried in the ground, around the nursery area. The project was completed on time, within budget and the client was very happy.
